When the test is over, the next step is to wait for the Civil Service Commission's official release—not a screenshot or an unofficial list. Here's what to do whether you pass, want to check your rating, or need another attempt.
Where to check CSE results
Start with the CSC announcement for your exam date and the official list of passers. The 2027 calendar gives target release dates, but CSC's actual results announcement is what counts. Follow the CSC link to its online rating system (OCSERGS) when individual ratings become available.
If you passed
Congratulations. CSC has offered a free letterhead Certificate of Eligibility through its regional or field offices; a security-paper copy may carry a fee. Availability and claiming instructions vary by release, so read the CSC's results and certificate guidance for the applicable exam before traveling. Bring the ID and any supporting documents requested in that release.
Passing creates eligibility, not an automatic job offer. Professional eligibility applies to first- and second-level positions, while Subprofessional applies to first-level positions; each vacancy can have additional education, experience or training requirements. See our level comparison.
If you did not pass
Review your official rating, then target the weak areas in exam coverage. The CSC's 2026 announcement barred a same-level retake within three months of the previous exam, but the rule for your next attempt should be checked against its own CSC announcement. Use the study plan and our mixed practice test to prepare with evidence rather than guesswork.
