To pass the Civil Service Exam, you need to know exactly what topics will show up. Studying blind is a recipe for failure. Here is the official list of topics you need to review.

Core Subjects (Both Levels)

Whether you're taking the Professional or Sub-Professional test, roughly 80% of the exam covers these three subjects:

  • Verbal Ability: This tests your English and Filipino skills. Topics include vocabulary, grammar, paragraph organization, and reading comprehension.
  • Numerical Ability: This tests your math skills. Topics include basic operations (PEMDAS), word problems (speed, age, discount, work), and number sequences. Calculators are NOT allowed!
  • General Information: This covers the Philippine Constitution, RA 6713 (Code of Conduct), Peace and Human Rights, and Environment Protection.
